The most interesting things are my art work and resume. Oh, and you contact me here.
I am a developer primarily working with Plone and Zope. I've been with Cemetery Data Corporation since 2004 and Silicon Prairie Ventures, Inc. since 2000.
I graduated in 1999 from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics.
I am a life long east side resident of Indianapolis, Indiana. I've been married since 2005 to Annette, another IUPUI graduate. We have a crazy dog named Misha.
My art education is based on studying several drawing books and taking a few drawing and painting classes in college. I create my work as an observer rather than as a participant. I see something humorous or interesting and I record the thoughts in some way with sketches or by jotting down a few lines describing the situation in as much detail as I can recall.
Though inspiration can occur anywhere, several ideas have come from spending time at a coffeeshop simply watching people as they walk by, drink their coffee and talk about their lives.
Some of the comics spring from poems I have written. For example, the comic Coffeeshop Archetype: Dreamer arose from a larger poem watching. I saw an old man sitting in a coffeeshop and it struck me that he seemed to be looking past me. Dreamer is the picture of an old man in a flannel shirt and trucker cap I saw as I wrote the poem.
